CoP Lecture: Animation

In the lecture Mike talked about the brief history of animation and how far animation has come to in our days. Animation has been around for hundreds of years, but as a form it has existed for thousands of years because men/women have been drawing sequenced images on walls like the Egyptian murals which has been around for 4000 years.
Mike talked about every type of animation like the Thaumatrope, the Phenakistoscope, the Zoetrope, and the Kineograph or flipbook. He also when through the historical order of animation and how its being increased, starting off with the traditional animation then going on to the Golden ages, then the television ages, then towards the digital ages which include 3D and CGI.
